CHN Herold Ross commenced practice in July 2000 in Ringwood, an Eastern suburb of Melbourne and originated from the former firm Cassidy Hunter Nutbean (CHN) which was founded in 1986. Mark Herold and Julianne Ross were the founding partners and in 2003, Andrew Morris was admitted to the partnership. In January 2006 Julianne retired from the firm to take up full time theological studies. She remains as a valued consultant. The Partners are supported by a team of around twenty highly professional people.

In January 2002, CHN Herold Ross expanded its existing financial planning division under the banner of HRM Financial Services and incorporated the practice of Colin Missen, a very experienced and well-respected financial planner. Colin Missen and Mark Herold are both Authorised Representatives of the Securitor Financial Group Ltd (Australian Financial Service Licencee 240687). In 2005 HRM Mortgage Finance was formed to include lending facilities to the range of services offered to our clients.
